Few beings who live on the surface of the land have been into the Underground. It is a mysterious, dark place with many creepy, frightening things. There are legends--certainly they must be false--of creatures and inhabitants, strange magics and ancient mysteries that have been buried with time.

Old Lady Susan, or so she calls herself, lives in a small hut out in the boggy wilds. Though a hermit, she is a well-known sorceress and potion-brewer, which is why you have been brought to her. It has long been suspected and only recently confirmed that she chose to live where she does because of its proximity to an opening into the Underground where special mushrooms can be found for brewing her concoctions. You have been sent to convince her to make potions that can be surruptitiously fed to the dragons and disable them before the battle even begins.

Easily convinced, Old Lady Susan presented a plan. She knows the perfect potion that will make the dragons confused and sluggish. For each potion she requires two of the special underground mushrooms. Her plan is to put the brew into hollowed-out bones that the dragons would greedily eat with their sharp teeth, so she will also need bones. Both of these things will only be able to be found in the Underground. You will also be able to find gold at the bottom of the well, gadgets littered among the roots of a gnarly tree near her house, and if you ask nicely, Old Lady Susan might even give you some of her magic.

The Underground is a dangerous, mysterious place. Rumors of tiny people called mites living there may or may not be true, and if they were, it is unknown if they would be helpful or malicious. If there was ever a place to encounter a spooky haunt, this seems like just that type of place.

You will need three mushrooms for each potion, and one bone each to be filled with the potion. Each set of potion ingredients can be exchanged at Old Lady Susan’s cottage for 2 victory points and 1 permanent resource.

As you enter the Underground, you see an appropriate engraving in the stone around the hole that reads, "Best of luck to you."

Objectives: Your objective in this round is to get Old Lady Susan the mushrooms she needs to make the potions. She will also needs bones to fill up with the potion, and then feed to the dragons to make them confused and sluggish. Go to her cottage at any time with at least 3 mushrooms and 1 bone to earn 2 points and any 1 permanent resource.

Scenario Win Condition: Fully supply Old Lady Susan with the resources she needs to make her potions for the dragons. She requires 3 mushrooms and 1 bone per player. Failure to supply her with one set of supplies per player and the Queendom will be in great jeopardy.

THE UNDERGROUND DICE GAME

The dice game in the Underground is one where you roll a single die and cover up a resource by the old apple tree. Any resource that you cover up is a resource that you will NOT gain. After you have selected your first resource to cover up you will roll another die and take the following steps:

1. If this die is the SAME value as any previous die then the game is over and you get to keep all exposed resources by the old apple tree.

2. If this die is a DIFFERENT value than any of the dice covering up resources then you cover up another resource by the old apple tree. Then roll another die and repeat steps 1 and 2 until you roll the same value as any previous roll.
